Hero MotoCorp competes in the 125cc space with the Super Splendor to rival the likes of Honda Shine in the Indian market. The company used BS6 upgrade as an opportunity to add new colours to the list.
The 2022 iteration of the 125cc commuter motorcycle is listed in five colours – Glaze Black, Dusky Black, Nexus Blue, Heavy Grey, and CB Red. All paint options feature identical graphics and matching colourS for the front fender. The motorcycle is powered by a BS6-compliant 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 10.73bhp at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm at 6,000rpm. The BS6 model comes with a five-speed transmission against a four-speed gearbox on the BS4 version.
The Super Splendor BS6 received tweaks to the chassis back in 2020 and the new model retains the same underpinnings. The motorcycle uses a rigid diamond frame that is claimed to deliver improved manoeuvrability and a plush ride. The feature list includes a semi-digital instrument cluster, a USB charger, and idle start-stop system.
The motorcycle is available in two variants. The drum brake variant is available at Rs 74,700 while the disc version is listed at Rs 78,600 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
