Hero has updated its Passion and Super Splendor range of motorcycles with the modern engines seen in the Splendor 110 iSmart and the new Glamour. The Passion and Passion X Pro as such get a 9.3bhp, 9Nm engine that displaces 109cc. This is an increase of 12 per cent in power and torque over the previous generation models. Both will get Hero’s iSmart start/stop system and be available in either drum brake or disc brake versions. It gets an updated instrument cluster more in line with the Splendor 110 as well, which has a single tripmeter. The Passion Pro will be available in red, black, silver, grey, and blue. The Passion X Pro is targeted towards a more youthful audience and will be available in three dual-tone colour schemes: black/grey, silver/black, and black/blue.
The Super Splendor gets the engine from the new Glamour. That means 11.4bhp and 11Nm from a 125cc engine. That is a big 27 per cent increase from the previous generation, and if our experience of the new Glamour is any indicator, it is a significant step ahead. It will be available in five colours – red, grey with blue graphics, or black with graphics in one of three colours: purple, red, or silver.
