Hero MotoCorp is aiming to launch BS-VI compliant two-wheelers ahead of the proposed timeline in 2020. Customers will get updated/new vehicles well before the deadline and help the company to smoothly liquidate their older stock too.
We are expecting the company to soon deploy a new task force to get ready for BS-VI emission norms which will be mandatory from April 2020. With the implementation of the norms then, the two of the biggest technologies on two-wheelers will be fuel injection and on-board vehicle diagnostics.
This time around too, for the transformation from BS-III to BS-IV, the automaker switched to manufacturing only BS-IV compliant vehicles well before the date stipulated by the authorities. This not only helped them clear the remaining BS-III stock before the end of the financial year, but also aided in bringing in the new stock for customers.
