- New 210cc street bike concept unveiled
- Based on Karizma XMR
- Early 2024 launch likely
Hero MotoCorp has just pulled the wraps off a naked bike concept at the 2023 EICMA Show. It is called the Concept 2.5R and is being positioned as a stunt bike.
This concept motorcycle is based on the Karizma XMR – Hero’s fully-faired bike. From the one picture the company has released, it is clear that the 2.5R Xtunt is built around the same chassis that the Karizma XMR uses. In fact, the engine casings are also the same, which makes us believe that the same 210cc liquid-cooled 25bhp engine will power this new naked bike.
Currently, there aren’t a lot of details on this bike, but expect it to hit the production line later this year. Over the last few months, the brand has made its presence felt in the premium segment with the Karizma XMR and the Harley-Davidson X440. With this 2.5R Xtunt, the Gurgaon-based manufacturer wants to compete with the Suzuki Gixxer 250, KTM Duke 250 and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200.
We are expecting a price tag of around Rs 1.65 lakh for the production variant of this bike, and it is likely to come with many new and bright colour options.
