We were expecting a new Karizma from Hero MotoCorp and all we got is a new paint scheme. Hero MotoCorp showcased new paint schemes for the Karizma R and the Karizma ZMR at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The current Karizmas turned out to be a bad proposition for Hero MotoCorp. Designed by Erik Buell Racing, the bike’s overall styling didn’t go well with the Indian consumers, resulting in poor sales. The older Karizmas weren’t a style statement, but at least they got the body proportions right, which wasn't in the case of the EBR-styled Karizmas.
Now in order to revive the Karizma sales, the Gurgaon-based manufacturer showcased the dual-tone paint schemes for the Karizma R and the Karizma ZMR. We appreciate the company’s effort to help the bike look more appealing, but like we mentioned before, the basic design language of these bikes did not find favour with the Indian consumers. While the white and grey paint scheme on the Karizma R looks pretty good, the red and white paint on the Karizma ZMR is a not really an attractive sight.
Hero MotoCorp will introduce these two new paint schemes in the coming few months. In terms of pricing, Hero MotoCorp can’t afford to price these models at a premium over other colours. Also, we would love to see the HX250R in the market soon. Hero MotoCorp, are you reading this?
