Hero Motocorp globally unveiled the Xoom 125R at the 2023 EICMA in Italy and finally showed the scooter in India at the Hero World. Here we tell you everything you need to know about the TVS Ntorq 125 rival.
Design
The Hero Xoom 125R looks like the beefed-up version of the Xoom 110 which is on sale in the country. With the signature design for the LED headlamp, the scooter looks to be sporty and gets sharp lines and creases all over its bodywork. While the front end would remind you of its smaller sibling, the rest tells a different tale. A stubby exhaust accentuates the midsection can and a futuristic-looking tail with slim tail lamps.
Engine
Powering the Xoom 125R is a 124cc, air-cooled engine with 9.5bhp and 10.14Nm on offer. This unit produces more power but is down on torque compared to other scooters in Hero’s 125cc class.
Features
As for features, the Xoom 125R is fitted with LED lighting and turn-signals of the sequential kind. It also comes with a digital dash that is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity that further gives access to turn-by-turn navigation and notification alerts.
Expected pricing and competition
Now, the Hero Xoom 125R will be part of a segment that has many contenders like the TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Avenis and Honda Dio 125 as well. That said, we expect the brand to price it competitively around Rs 80,000-85,000, ex-showroom. Furthermore, we can expect Hero to launch the scooter in the second half of this year.
