Hero MotoCorp showcased the Xoom 160 once again in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. Moreover, the brand also revealed specifications for its upcoming maxi-scooter, and here is what the Xoom 160 looks like.
Hero has given the Xoom 160 a tall stance and the bodywork looks quite butch. The fascia, side panels, and the entire bodywork is loaded with cuts and creases. Moreover, the split LED headlight topped by a smoked visor and a small beak below makes the Xoom 160’s front portion look quite pronounced.
It gets a central spine like a thorough maxi scooter but the Xoom 160 is more of an adventure offering than a sporty maxi scooter. Hero will power the Xoom 160 with a 156cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 14bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.7Nm at 6,500rpm. The Xoom 160 will get a CVT unit.
Along with LED illumination, Hero will also equip the Xoom 160 with keyless ignition, remote seat opening, remote find, a fully digital console, a USB charging port, smartphone connectivity, and navigation.
The Xoom 160 rides on telescopic front forks and dual rear springs. Its brakes include a single disc and drum setup with ABS.
The braking hardware is mounted on alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless MRF tyres. The Xoom 160 tips the scale at 141kg.
Hero is likely to launch the Xoom 160 in the coming months and we expect an official announcement for it around April. It is likely to cost about Rs. 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
