Hero MotoCorp has officially teased its most powerful and first maxi-scooter, the Xoom 160. The scooter debuted at the EICMA 2024 and has now reached the Indian shores at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.
The Xoom 160 has muscular bodywork and a tall stance. It features a proper spine at the centre, like a maxi-scooter should. The Xoom 160 takes inspiration from an ADV and hence gets a tall build. Its front profile looks aggressive and youthful, thanks to the split LED headlights topped by the transparent visor.
Powering the Xoom 160 is a 156cc, single-cylinder engine. It makes 14bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.7Nm at 6,500rpm. The motor gets a CVT setup and is nestled in an underbone frame. It is suspended on telescopic front forks and dual rear springs. The braking hardware for the Hero Xoom 160 comprises a front disc and a rear drum brake mounted on 14-inch wheels. The Xoom 160 gets LED illumination, a dial for ignition, keyless operation, and an LCD.
We expect Hero to price the Xoom 160 around Rs. 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rival the Yamaha Aerox 155.
