The Hero Xoom 160 is all set to be showcased at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The launch of the maxi-scooter has been delayed for a while but we will finally get to see the production-ready version of the scooter. Here’s what one can expect.
True maxi-scooter design
The Hero Xoom 160 looks big enough to warrant the maxi-scooter tag. The scooter has a very ADV-bike inspired design. This is visible in the styling elements such as the tall windscreen on the front apron, twin LED headlights and the little beak.
The central spine and the large tail section are also typical of a maxi-scooter and on the whole the scooter should offer good road presence.
Features galore
Hero is offering the scooter with a laundry list of features. The list includes keyless ignition, remote boot opening, LED lights, LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation.
New engine
Hero has revealed a few details about the scooter’s engine. It is a 156cc, single-cylinder unit that is said to develop 14bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.7Nm at 6,500rpm. This engine is paired with a CVT transmission. These figures are marginally lower than competition like Yamaha Aerox 155.
Hardware
The Xoom 160 employs an underbone frame that is suspended by a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. The scooter rides on the 14-inch wheels that are shod with wide, block pattern tyres. Braking, meanwhile, is taken care of by a ABS equipped disc at the front and a drum brake at the rear.
Price
Expect Hero to price the Xoom 160 around the Rs 1.3 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh mark.
