Hero MotoCorp has launched its latest 110cc scooter, the Xoom in the Indian market. It’s available in three variants: LX, VX, and ZX. The asking price is set to Rs 68,599 for the LX while the VX and ZX cost Rs 71,799 and Rs 76,699, respectively. (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
Looking at the brand’s scooter line-up, the Hero Xoom gets a comparatively sporty design. It features an LED headlight and taillight with bulb indicators. The overall bodywork is sharp too and gives the scooter a youthful appearance. The Xoom sits below the Maestro range, and Hero has provided it with a 110.9cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that dishes out 8.05bhp and 8.70Nm.
On the feature front, all the variants get LED illumination. While the ZX and VX models are equipped with LCD with Bluetooth connectivity, the LX variant comes with a digital analog setup. Apart from that, all models get cornering lights, a USB charger, and more. It rides on telescopic front forks and a single rear spring while the braking hardware comprises a front disc and rear drum setup. The latter is mounted on 12-inch alloys wrapped in 90/90 front and 90/80 rear tyres (100/90 for the VX and ZX). Moreover, Xoom gets a 5.2-litre fuel tank and weighs 109kg.
Bookings for the new Hero Xoom will commence on 1 February. It’ll be offered in multiple colours across different variants and will rival TVS Jupiter 110 and Honda Dio in its segment.
