- Xpulse 200 2V removed from website
- Was priced lower than 4V version
- Hero Xpulse range to get bigger 300cc model soon
Hero Motocorp has taken the Xpulse 200 2V off the shelves in India. While we had expected the company to discontinue the model soon after the Xpulse 200 4V was launched, the 2V was still on sale, until now.
The Xpulse 200 2V that was priced at Rs 1.27 lakh, which is Rs 10,000 more affordable than the 200 4V which costs Rs 1.37 lakh, ex-showroom. While both used the same 199cc, single-cylinder motor, the 2V as its name suggests, came with two valves in its engine. It hence offered lesser power and torque than the 4V that comes with 18.8bhp and 17.35Nm. Other than that, the two motorcycles remain majorly the same, unless you consider the new paint schemes that adorn its motocross-inspired bodywork.
Now with the 2V discontinued the Xpulse range only has the 4V. However, it is soon expected to be joined by the bigger Xpulse 400 which is rumoured to come with a 350-400cc engine. This motorcycle is likely to debut in late 2023 with a debut in 2024 to go head-on against the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
