- Costs about Rs 16,000 more than the standard model
- Gets off-road ready equipment
- Bookings to commence from July 22
Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition in India. It’s priced at Rs 1,52,100 (ex-showroom Delhi) which is about Rs 16,000 more than the base model. While the Xpulse 200 4V is a seasoned off-roader in its base trim, the Rally Edition tends to up the ante.
Draped in Hero MotoCorp’s factory racing colours of white and red, the Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition is powered by the same motor as the standard trim: a 200cc single-cylinder oil-cooled mill. It makes 18.9bhp (0.1bhp more) and 17.35Nm.
What makes the Hero offering now even more capable for the off-road is its altered dynamics. The Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition gets fully adjustable front forks with 250mm travel and a 10-step adjustable rear shock with 220mm travel. The seat height has gone up from 825mm to 885mm and the ground clearance too has increased by 50mm. Not to mention, it also gets a longer gear shift lever and a lengthened side stand.
The 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels wrapped in dual-purpose rubber and the braking hardware have been retained. Even the LED illumination and Bluetooth-compatible console remain unaltered.
Hero claims that the Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition is a limited-run model. However, the number hasn’t been revealed yet. Lastly, official bookings commence on July 22 on Hero’s official website.
