Hero MotoCorp has announced the launch of the new Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition in the Indian market. This variant of the Xpulse 200 4V series, which will be available in limited numbers, packs styling and hardware updates over the standard model. Here we list the top five highlights of the new Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition.
Styling upgrades
While the design remains identical to the standard Xpulse 200 4V, the Rally Edition gets a styling revision in the form of new decals. These include the exclusive Rally Code graphics, Rally Edition decal on the front fender, and CS Santhosh’s autograph on the fuel tank. Other elements similar to the standard Xpulse 200 4V include a round headlight, tall-set front fender, single-piece seat, high position for the exhaust, and a compact luggage rack at the rear.
Colours
The Rally Edition will be sold in a single paint theme that uses white base paint along with graphics in black and red. In comparison, the standard Xpulse 200 4V is listed in three paint themes – Matte Nexus Blue, Polestar Blue, and Sports Red.
Updated hardware
The hardware gets a major overhaul, and the Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition gets taller and fully-adjustable front forks with 250mm travel and a fully-adjustable rear suspension with 220mm travel. Other key dimensions include seat height of 885mm, handlebar risers of 40mm, increased ground clearance of 270mm, wheelbase of 1426mm, and an increased trail of 116mm. Further, the Rally Edition benefits from an extended gear lever, longer side stand, and dual purpose tyres. This motorcycle tips the weighing scale at 160kg (kerb).
Same engine performance
The mechanical specifications remain unaltered and the Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition continues to use the BS6-compliant 200cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to produce 18.9bhp at 8,500rpm and 17.35Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm.
Price and availability
The new Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition, which will be sold in limited numbers, is priced at Rs 1,52,100. In comparison, the standard model is available at Rs 1,35,978 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). The Rally Edition can be booked on the company’s online sales platform – eSHOP from 22 July 2022, 12pm onwards till 29 July 2022, 12pm.
