-XPulse 200 is an ADV while XPulse 200 T is touring-focused
-To be priced between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.3 lakhs
-Both bikes powered by a 200cc, single-cylinder engine
Hero Motocorp will finally launch its highly-anticipated adventure motorcycle, the XPulse 200 in India tomorrow, 1 May.
And along with the adventure motorcycle, Hero will also launch the XPulse 200 T. The XPulse 200 T is based on the XPulse 200 and shares majority of its components with the latter. However, it gets slight changes that make it more touring-focused. The XPulse 200 T gets road-biased tyres wrapped around alloy wheels, a conventional exhaust and a standard mudguard. Now, the XPulse being an ADV, gets spoke wheels, dual-sport rubber, a high mudguard and exhaust along with knuckle guards and engine sump guard for added off-road capability.
Nevertheless, both motorcycles are powered by a 200cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 18.4bhp and 17.1Nm and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. On the feature front, the XPulse 200 and XPulse 200 T sport a full-LED headlamp along with a digital instrument cluster that offers Bluetooth connectivity.
While the prices will only be out tomorrow, we expect Hero to price the XPulse 200 and XPulse 200 T between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.3 lakhs, ex-showroom. In terms of competition, both bikes may not have any direct rivals but will face competition from the Royal Enfield Himalayan and BMW G310 GS.
