Hero Motocorp has launched the Xpulse 200 BS6 in India. It gets a few revisions and upgrades that set it apart from the earlier version. Here, we highlight five such changes in the Xpulse 200 BS6.
Pricing
The Xpulse 200 BS6 is priced at Rs 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom). This is a premium of Rs 5,000 over the BS4, fuel-injected model which was priced at 1.06 lakh.
New bodywork
Now, the overall styling of the Xpulse 200 remains the same. It continues to offer an LED headlamp and tail lamp, fully-digital instrument cluster, windscreen, and secondary, high-set mudguard. However, the BS6 model also benefits from a larger engine bash plate. Hero has also added a larger catalytic converter and rerouted the exhaust which places it slightly lower than the BS4 model.
Revised engine
While the 199cc, single-cylinder engine already came with a fuel-injection system, it is now oil-cooled as opposed to the previous air-cooled motor.
Lesser Power
And, with the revisions made due to the BS6 norms, the Xpulse 200’s engine produces lesser power and torque. The BS6 motor churns out 17.8bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 16.45Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. In comparison, the BS4 engine was capable of producing 18.1bhp at 8,000rpm and 17.1Nm at 6,500rpm.
Five colours
Hero Motocorp is offering the Xpulse 200 BS6 in five colours- White, Matte Green, Matte Grey, Sports Red, and Panther Black.
