Hero MotoCorp has updated its product portfolio with the launch of the BS6-compliant XPulse 200. The latest iteration of the motorcycle has been priced at Rs 1,11,790. For that competitive price tag, the XPulse 200 comes equipped with a full-LED headlight and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster. But what else can you buy in a similar price range? Bajaj Pulsar 180F (Rs 1,11,328)
Buyers looking for a sportier motorcycle can consider the Bajaj Pulsar 180F. The semi-faired motorcycle, which draws styling cues from its bigger sibling, the Pulsar 220F, retails in the similar price range as the XPulse 200. The feature list comprises of clip-on style handlebar, semi-digital instrument cluster, split seat and two-piece pillion grab rail. The BS6-compliant, 178cc, single-cylinder engine produces 17bhp of power and 14Nm of peak torque.
Bajaj Pulsar 220F (Rs 1,20,788)
For a premium of about Rs 9,000, buyers can opt for the highest displacement model in the Pulsar series, the Pulsar 220F. The motorcycle uses a 220cc, single-cylinder DTS-i engine that makes 21bhp of power and 19Nm of torque. Apart from a powerful engine, the motorcycle also features a semi-fairing design, sporty ergonomics with clip-on style handlebar, semi-digital instrument cluster and split-seat setup.
Suzuki’s 155cc roadster, the Gixxer, retails at a premium of about Rs 2,120 over the XPulse 200. The Suzuki motorcycle packs feature like LED headlight and a fully-digital instrument cluster. In terms of performance, the 155cc, single-cylinder engine on the Gixxer produces 13.4bhp and 13.8Nm.
Yamaha’s 150cc naked roadster is almost Rs 10,000 cheaper than the XPulse 200. The muscular design of the FZ-S FI aims to attract young buyers who are looking for a stylish motorcycle. The FZ-S FI benefits from features like LED headlight and a fully-digital instrument cluster. The 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine makes 12.2bhp and 13.6Nm.
