- Hero increases the price of the Xpulse 200 by Rs 1500
- Priced at Rs 115,230 (ex-showroom, Delhi) now
- Remains unaltered in all other aspects
India’s most affordable adventure motorcycle, the Hero Xpulse 200, has become more expensive by Rs 1500. The price of the motorcycle has gone up from Rs 113,730 to Rs 115,230 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). This comes in following Hero’s announcement last month which had notified about all the offerings set to get expensive from 1 January 2021.
Despite the bump in its price, the Xpulse 200 continues to be an attractive proposition considering the fact that it is the ideal gateway for those who want to enter the world of adventure riding, but at a shoestring budget. Apart from the Xpulse, another low budget adventure tourer in India is the Royal Enfield Himalayan. However, the latter is as much as Rs 76,000 dearer than the former.
Hero has equipped the Xpulse with adventure-centric components like 21-18-inch spoke wheel combination, dual-purpose tyres, long travel suspension and a belly pan. It also boasts a high ground clearance of 220mm. Meanwhile, powering the motorcycle is a 199.6cc, oil-cooled motor which produces 17.8bhp and 16.45Nm. With a full-LED headlamp and tail lamp and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster, the Xpulse is also profoundly modern.
For those who want to transform their Hero Xpulse 200 into a more hardcore off-roader, Hero also retails the rally kit. We have been using it for a while and you can read its detailed description and the first stage test report here and here.
