Hero MotoCorp has updated its product portfolio with the launch of the Xpulse 200T 4V in the Indian market. This motorcycle is the road-biased version of the Xpulse 200 series and thus comes equipped with different hardware than the off-road variant. Here we list the top five highlights of the new Hero Xpulse 200T 4V.
Updated Engine
The biggest update on the new Xpulse 200T 4V comes in the form of the updated valve setup. Unlike the previous model, the new Xpulse 200T 4V comes with a four-valve setup instead of a two-valve layout. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, the 199.6cc, single-cylinder, oil/air-cooled, four-valve motor on this motorcycle produces a maximum output of 18.8bhp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 17.35Nm at 6,500rpm. In comparison, the two-valve variant makes 17.83bhp and 16.15Nm.
Styling Tweaks and New Colours
While the overall design remains similar to the two-valve version, the new Xpulse 200T 4V gets a new, body-coloured fly screen above the LED headlight, a body-coloured front fender, and gaitered front forks. At the back, the rear tail rack has been removed and the Xpulse 200T 4V gets a tubular grab rail. Meanwhile, the alloy design, scooped seat, and side panels have been retained from the previous model.
Hero MotoCorp has launched this motorcycle in three paint schemes – Sports Red, Matt Funk Lime Yellow, and Matt Shield Gold. All paint options feature a dual-tone finish along with new graphics and a body-coloured front fender. Further, the ‘Xpulse 200T’ branding is visible on the fuel tank while the side panels get the ‘4V’ decals.
Features
The feature list remains similar to the 2V variant and the new Xpulse 200T 4V gets an LED headlight, LED taillight, a Bluetooth-enabled LCD instrument cluster with call alerts and turn-by-turn navigation function, a USB charging port, and a side stand sensor. The rider aids comprise a single-channel ABS.
Hardware
The suspension tasks on this motorcycle are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a seven-step adjustable mono-shock at the back. Meanwhile, the braking setup includes petal-type disc brakes on both ends. Unlike the Xpulse 200 4V, this road-biased variant comes with 17-inch alloy wheels that are shod in tubeless tyres. The rear gets a wide, 130-section tyre.
Price
The new Xpulse 200T 4V is available in a single variant and three colours. All paint options are available at Rs 1,25,726. In comparison, the two-valve version was sold at Rs 1,24,396.
