- Benefits from a 4-valve setup
- Dishes out 18.83bhp and 17.3Nm
- Costs about Rs 1,000 more than the 2V model
After much anticipation, Hero MotoCorp has launched the XPulse 200T 4V in India. The updated Hero commuter comes with mechanical, and cosmetic updates and a marginal price bump as well. Let’s take a look at it.
On the design front, the Hero XPulse 200T now gets a tad sportier look with the new two-tone paint schemes. While the silhouette looks unchanged, the XPulse 200T 4V features gaitered front forks, a small fly screen above the LED headlight, and a body colour painted head casing as well. The rear tail rack has made way for a tubular grab rail while the alloy design, scooped seat and side panels have been retained.
The most significant update comes in the form of a slightly more powerful 200cc single-cylinder oil-cooled motor. It gets a 4-valve setup instead of 2-valve and develops out 18.83 bhp and 17.3 Nm over the previous 17.83 bhp and 16.15 Nm. The five-speed gearbox remains unchanged.
On the feature front, the XPulse 200T 4V consists of an LED headlight, an LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity for call alerts and turn-by-turn navigation, a USB charging port, and a side stand sensor as well. Its telescopic front forks with rear monoshock and single front and rear disc brake setup have been carried over along with the alloy wheels.
Hero has priced the XPulse 200T 4V at Rs 1,25,726 (ex-showroom Mumbai). This makes it Rs 1,036 more expensive than the 2V model. Hero will offer the bike three paint schemes – Sports Red, Matt Funk Lime Yellow, and Matt Shield Gold.
