- Features subtle design changes
- Powered by an updated four-valve motor
- India launch could be around the corner
Hero MotoCorp is prepping to launch the new XPulse 200T 4V in India soon. Ahead of its official debut, a bunch of details of the bike were recently revealed, courtesy of its walkaround video posted by a content creator located overseas. Now, to make things more interesting, Hero has listed the XPulse 200T 4V on one of its international websites revealing the design of the bike in all its glory.
While the motorcycle remains majorly identical to its existing iteration visually, there are subtle yet tasteful changes. For instance, the position of the headlamp has changed mildly and now it is crowned by a body-coloured fly screen. The belly pan has also been slightly tweaked while the front telescopic forks are equipped with gaiters now. Moreover, the rack-like rear grab rail has been replaced by a simpler tubular unit. Hero has also dressed it up with new graphics which should make its new colour palette more appealing.
The engine of the motorcycle is identical to its hardcore adventure sibling, XPulse 200 4V. This 199.6cc single-cylinder, oil/air-cooled motor which makes 18.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 17.35Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. Notably, the power and torque output numbers are higher than the existing two-valve iteration of the 200T. As for its hardware, the bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with road-biased tyres. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks and a monoshock while stopping power comes from a single disc at both ends. Furthermore, the list of features is the same with a Bluetooth-enabled LCD and a USB charger.
At present, the two-valve version of the Hero Xpulse 200T is sold with a price tag of Rs 1.24 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new 4V trim, meanwhile, will certainly be more expensive than this.
