- BS6 specifications yet to be revealed
- To retain styling and features of the BS4 model
- Likely to carry a price premium over the BS4 motorcycle
Hero MotoCorp has listed the BS6-compliant XPulse 200T on its India website. The company is yet to announce the launch date, although the latest iteration of the motorcycle is listed as “Coming Soon”.
The motorcycle, similar to the XPulse 200, will retain the styling and features of the BS4 model. Thus, the XPulse 200T BS6 will come equipped with a LED headlight and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation system. Unlike its off-road biased version, the XPulse 200T features 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends. The BS6-compliant model will be available in four colour options – Sports Red, Panther Black, Matte Shield Gold and Matte Grey.
The company has not listed the technical specifications of the BS6 model yet although we expect the power and torque output numbers to be identical to the XPulse 200 BS6. The off-road spec model, for reference, uses a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that is tuned to produce 17.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 16.45Nm at 6,500rpm. In comparison, the BS4-compliant XPulse 200T used a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor with carburettor system that produced 18.1bhp at 8,000rpm and 17.1Nm at 6,500rpm.
Hardware specifications should remain identical to the BS4 model. Thus, the XPulse 200T BS6 should feature conventional telescopic front forks, seven-step adjustable rear mono-shock, disc brakes on both wheels and a single-channel ABS.
The BS6 XPulse 200T will carry a premium over the BS4 motorcycle’s Rs 95,500 (ex-showroom Delhi) price tag.
