Hero MotoCorp will soon update its product portfolio with the launch of the BS6-compliant XPulse 200T in the Indian market. While we await the launch announcement, here we tell you what to expect from the upcoming Hero XPulse 200T BS6.
Design
The styling cues will not receive major changes, and the upcoming Hero XPulse 200T will look similar to the BS4 model. Thus, the motorcycle will continue to feature a round LED headlight, LED taillight, fully-digital instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation, an under-cowl and 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends. The BS6-compliant model will receive a larger catalytic convertor.
Colours
The BS6-compliant XPulse 200T will most likely retain the colour palette from the BS4 model that was available in four options – Sports Red, Panther Black, Matte Shield Gold and Matte Grey.
Engine
The BS6 version of the XPulse 200T will retain the 199cc displacement. Similar to the XPulse 200 BS6, the updated XPulse 200T will most likely feature an oil-cooled engine as opposed to the previous air-cooled motor. The single-cylinder engine on the XPulse 200 BS6 is tuned to produce 17.8bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 16.45Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. We expect to see similar numbers on the road-biased model.
Hardware
Similar to the styling cues, the hardware will most likely be retained from the BS4 model. Thus, the upcoming XPulse 200T BS6 will feature telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the back to perform the suspension duties. The anchoring power will come from single discs on both wheels while the safety net will include a single-channel ABS.
Price
The BS6-compliant XPulse 200T will carry a premium over the BS4 motorcycle’s Rs 95,500 (ex-showroom Delhi) price tag. We expect the updated model to retail close to the Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.
