- New XPulse 400 to be launched by the end of 2024
- Benchmark testing currently being done with 390 Adventure
- XPulse 210 in the making
Hero MotoCorp has started benchmark testing their upcoming XPulse 400 with the KTM 390 Adventure. One such prototype of the former was spotted testing somewhere in Jaipur.
From the video sent to us by a BikeWale reader, it is clear that the brand is conducting city testing. The KTM 390 Adventure was being ridden in front of the bigger XPulse, which was camouflaged. The test mule had bigger proportions throughout. The tail section, especially the rear tyre and the exhaust, looked quite big and added a lot of mass.
This ADV is expected to be built around a trellis frame. The big XPulse prototype was also seen with a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. However, the displacement is rumoured to be between 350cc and 400cc. The power figures of this motor are likely to be around 35-40bhp, and a lot of focus would go on its excellent low and mid-range torque. Regarding equipment, the XPulse 400 could get upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the back with preload adjustment. The bike will get a 21-inch wheel at the front. However, it will mostly get tube-type tyres.
We are expecting this new Hero XPulse 400 to be launched in 2024. This project has been delayed for quite a few reasons, but the brand has increased its focus on it in the last few months. But for now, Hero will likely launch the XPulse 210 sometime next year. This motorcycle will be powered by the 210cc engine that powers the new Karizma XMR.
