Hero has launched its newest commuter, the Xtreme 125R in India and is offering the motorcycle in two variants. While the IBS version costs Rs 95,000, the ABS is priced at Rs 99,500, ex-showroom. With this, it competes against the TVS Raider 125. Let us look at all the images of the Hero Xtreme 125R through this gallery.
To begin with, the Hero Xtreme 125R takes an aggressive approach to its styling and looks different from most motorcycles in its segment. It gets the low-set full-LED headlamp unit, brawny fuel tank and a split-seat setup to add sportiness.
It being offered in a choice of three colours- Firestorm Red, Cobalt Blue, Stallion Black
Now, the motorcycle uses a 125cc, single-cylinder engine that is air-cooled. This unit churns out 11.5bhp and close to 11Nm of torque and transfers power to the rear wheel via a five-speed gearbox. Hero also claims the highest fuel efficiency from the Xtreme 125R, but we’ll only know for sure when we test it in the real world.
As for hardware, the Hero Xtreme 125R rides on 37mm telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock for the rear end. Meanwhile, braking is done with a 276mm disc at the front as standard whereas the rear has the option of a drum or disc.
The features list includes full-LED lighting for the headlamp, turn signals and tail lamp. Then there is the LCD screen with gear position and Bluetooth connectivity for call and message alerts as well a hazard light switch. Hero is also offering the option of a single-channel ABS and IBS, which is essentially a combined braking system.
