- Hero Xtreme 125R priced from Rs 95,000
- Powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder engine
- Rivals the TVS Raider 125
The Hero Xtreme 125R was recently launched in India to take on the TVS Raider 125. Offered in two variants, the motorcycle is being offered in a choice of three colour options in the country.
First up is the Firestorm Red which comes with black as its secondary colour. It also gets silver on part of the tank and mid-section which makes the bike look even more beefy. In a similar fashion is the Cobalt Blue colour which replaced the red with blue. This paint scheme would remind you of the Suzuki Gixxer’s colour. Then there is the Stallion Black option for the Hero Xtreme 125R that gives a stealthy look to the motorcycle. In terms of design, the Hero Xtreme 125R takes an aggressive approach to its styling and looks different from most motorcycles in its segment. It gets the low-set full-LED headlamp unit, brawny fuel tank and a split-seat setup to add sportiness.
Hero has equipped the Xtreme 125R with a 125cc, single-cylinder engine that is air-cooled and churns out 11.5bhp and close to 11Nm of torque. It is mated to a five-speed gearbox. It rides on 37mm telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock for the rear end that make up for suspension duties. Meanwhile, braking is done by a 276mm disc at the front whereas the rear has the option of a drum or disc.
The features list on the Xtreme 125R include full-LED lighting, an LCD screen with gear position and Bluetooth connectivity for call and message alerts, and a hazard light switch. Hero is also offering the option of a single-channel ABS and IBS, which is essentially a combined braking system. The IBS version costs Rs 95,000 while the ABS costs Rs 99,500, ex-showroom.
