Hero MotoCorp has introduced Diwali offers on the Xtreme 160R in order to garner more sales this festive season. The motorcycle is available with a bonus of Rs 3,000 on the exchange of an old two-wheeler. And those who already own a Hero product are eligible for a loyalty discount of Rs 2,000. Furthermore, select corporate companies have a tie-up with Hero and the employees of these organisations can avail a price cut of Rs 2,000.
Hero has rolled out more schemes on the purchase of the Xtreme 160R which come in the form of cashback. A transaction done through Paytm can save you up to Rs 7,500 while the usage of an ICICI credit or debit card makes you eligible for a cashback up to Rs 5,000. Notably, there are certain terms and conditions applicable on these schemes which are valid only till 17 November 2020.
The Xtreme 160R is one of most enticing motorcycles produced by Hero yet. It offers impressive handling and ride quality while the 163cc, air-cooled motor is punchy and quick. Although the power figures of 15bhp and 14Nm aren’t extraordinary, its kerb weight of 138.5kg is the lightest in its segment. It’s also modern in terms of kit with full-LED lighting, an LCD console, a hazard lamp, and side stand engine cut-off function.
The Hero Xtreme 160R comes in two variants – single disc and dual disc which are pegged at Rs 1.02 lakh and Rs 1.05 lakh, respectively (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). It competes against the Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ FI, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Honda X-Blade and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
