- Listed on Hero’s official website
- Will be slightly more expensive than the existing standard model
Hero MotoCorp had crossed the 100 million cumulative production milestone on 21 January 2021. The company had revealed that it will be commemorating this occasion by launching limited-edition models of a few products, including the Xtreme 160R. Although this trim of the Xtreme is yet to be officially launched, it has been listed on the brand’s official website with the ‘coming soon’ tag.
Ahead of its official launch, pictures of the Hero Xtreme 160R limited edition version parked in a dealer yard have surfaced on the internet. The photos confirm that it is identical to the standard trim in all areas, except for the new eye-catchy paint scheme that is a combination of red and white shades. The price of this version will be slightly higher than the existing bike which costs Rs 1.04 lakh (front disc) and Rs 1.07 lakh (dual disc) (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Hero Xtreme 160R is an extremely light 138.5kg (kerb) motorcycle that is powered by a peppy 163cc engine capable of producing 15bhp and 14Nm. Transmission duties are handled by a five-speed gearbox. On the feature front, the Xtreme is equipped with full-LED lighting, a fully-digital console, a hazard switch, a side stand engine cut-off switch, and Auto Sail functionality for a seamless ride in traffic.
Besides the soon-to-be-launched limited edition red and white colour option, the Xtreme 160R can be opted in one of the three base colours including Pearl Silver White, Sports Red and Vibrant Blue.
