- Hero Xtreme 160R prices increased
- All variants become Rs 500 more expensive
- Remains unchanged in all other areas
Hero MotoCorp has increased the prices of the Xtreme 160R and the new prices are applicable from this month onwards. Fortunately, the price hike is marginal at Rs 500, unlike the Xpulse 200 which got more expensive by Rs 2,200. Following the prices revision, the single disc variant of the Xtreme 160R costs Rs 1,12,110 while the dual disc trim retails for Rs 1,15,160. As for the Stealth edition, it is pegged at Rs 1,17,160 (all prices are ex-showroom).
Despite the price hike, the Xtreme 160R continues to be more affordable than most of its rivals like the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Honda X-Blade, and the Suzuki Gixxer. However, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V continues to be more affordable, although marginally.
The Xtreme 160R is undoubtedly one of the best products ever produced by Hero MotoCorp. And we could verify this comprehensively when we had the motorcycle in our long term fleet. It’s extremely light weight, the handling is almost telepathic, the engine is potent, and it has a decent amount of features as well. Even the styling is quite modern and attractive.
Powering the Xtreme 160R is a 163cc, air-cooled engine that churns out 15bhp of power and 14Nm of peak torque. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, is suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock, and braking is handled by a single disc at the front. A rear disc is also available as an option. As for the features, the motorcycle gets a fully-digital console, a full-LED lighting setup, and a 12-litre fuel tank.
