The Xtreme 160R is the newest addition in Hero’s portfolio. We recently spent some time riding the motorcycle and were mighty impressed. You can read about our take on the bike here. Meanwhile, as your weekend visual treat, we’ve brought you a round-up of pictures which deserve a second glance from the Xtreme 160R’s first ride review.

One of the main USPs of the Xtreme is its styling which truly stands out with a muscular stance. Notably, it is aesthetically based on the Xtreme 1.R concept which was showcased at the EICMA 2019 in Milan.

It sports a full-LED headlamp which boasts of a very geometric and radical design, surrounded by angular shrouds. Flanking it on both sides are sleek LED turn indicators.

Holding its stepped, single-piece seat is a stubby tail section integrating a compact LED tail lamp with a smoked effect which makes it look unique.

All the information is presented on a rectangular, negative LCD display which comprises of speedometer, tachometer, clock, odometer, trip meter and fuel gauge.

Powering the Xtreme 160R is a 160cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine which produces 15bhp at 8,500rpm and 14Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm.

While these power figures are not exceptional for this segment, its kerb weight of 138.5kg is the lowest in its class which makes it extremely agile and peppy.

Lending it impressive handling dynamics is a diamond-type frame which is accompanied by a well-tuned suspension setup with telescopic forks and a monoshock.

Stopping its 17-inch alloy wheels are a disc brake at the front and a drum at the rear. Moreover, a rear disc is also available as an option. Both variants are assisted by single-channel ABS.

Hero has pegged the Xtreme 160R at Rs 99,950 (front disc) and Rs 1,03,500 (dual disc) (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). It competes against the Yamaha FZ FI, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Honda X-Blade and Suzuki Gixxer
