Hero MotoCorp has updated its product portfolio with the launch of the Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0 ahead of the festive season. This version of the TVS Apache RTR 160-rival gets several styling and feature updates and here we list the top five highlights of the new Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0.
Styling Updates
The new Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0 retains the design of the standard motorcycle. Thus, it continues to pack a single-pod headlight at the front, muscular fuel tank, step-up seat, side-slung exhaust, and split-style pattern for the alloy wheels. However, Hero MotoCorp has added a revised paint theme to this new version and that brings red highlights on the telescopic forks, frame, and pillion grip. Further, a similar shade is used for graphics on the headlight mask, fuel tank, rear panel, engine cowl, and rim tapes. This version also gets knuckle guards for added protection.
New Features
Apart from the new paint theme and the knuckle guards, the Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0 also gets Bluetooth connectivity. This new feature works with the Hero Connect smartphone application and provides access to functions such as tow away alert, geo-fence alert, parked location, trip analysis, vehicle start alert, live tracking, speed alert, and topple alert. The new topple alert enhances the safety of the rider by sending an app notification and SMS to the registered mobile number and emergency contact number. Other features retained from the standard Xtreme 160R include full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and single-channel ABS.
Same Engine
The mechanical specifications remain unchanged and the new Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0 continues to use a BS6-compliant, 163cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes a maximum output of 14.9bhp at 8,500rpm and 14Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox.
Unaltered Hardware
Similar to the engine, the hardware, too, remains identical to the standard version. Thus, the Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0 uses 37mm telescopic front forks and a seven-step adjustable rear mono-shock to handle the suspension tasks. The anchoring hardware includes a 276mm petal-type disc at the front and a 220mm petal-type rotor at the back.
Price
The new Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0 is the most expensive variant of the Xtreme 160R range and it has been priced at Rs 1,29,738. In comparison, the standard Stealth version is available at Rs 1,23,806. The single disc and double disc variants have been priced at Rs 1,18,616 and Rs 1,21,966, respectively.
