Hero MotoCorp has announced the launch of the new Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition in the Indian market. This variant of the motorcycle packs styling upgrades and new features over the standard model. Here we list the top five highlights of the new Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition.
New Colour
The biggest upgrade on the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition is the addition of a new paint scheme. This variant of the roadster motorcycle is available in matte black paint. The Stealth Edition also gets a new 3D emblem branding and a ‘Stealth’ badge to distinguish it from the standard variant. The design, on the other hand, remains unaltered, and the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition continues to feature a compact headlight, a muscular fuel tank, a step-up saddle, rear panel-integrated pillion grabrail, sleek taillight, and a side-slung exhaust.
Updated Features
The new Stealth Edition also gets a few updates in the features department. Thus, apart from the standard features such as full-LED lighting and a side stand engine cut-off function, the Stealth Edition also gets an integrated USB charger and five-level LCD brightness adjustment function. The instrument cluster also benefits from a new gear indicator. The safety net, similar to the standard motorcycle, is handled by a single-channel ABS.
Engine
While the styling department gets a few tweaks, the mechanical specifications on the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition continues to feature a 160cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 15bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 14Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The 0-60 kmph acceleration is claimed to take 4.7 seconds.
Hardware
Similar to the mechanical specifications, the hardware on the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition has been carried forward from the standard model. Thus, the suspension tasks are handled by 37mm telescopic front forks and a seven-step preload-adjustable rear mono-shock. The Stealth Edition is available in a single variant and it features disc brakes on both wheels. Thus, the anchoring power comes from a 276mm and a 220mm petal disc at the front and the rear, respectively. The motorcycle boasts a ground clearance of 165mm and tips the weighing scale at 139.5kg.
