Hero MotoCorp has revised the pricing of its street naked Xtreme 200R and its fully-faired sibling, Xtreme 200S. Pricing for both motorcycles has been increased by Rs 1000. With price hike, the Xtreme 200R, which was previously priced at Rs 90,000, now cost Rs 91,999 while the fully-faired Xtreme 200S previously priced at Rs 98,400, now retails at Rs 99,400. Despite the price hike, both motorcycles remain the same, mechanically and cosmetically. In the case of the Xtreme 200R, the street naked has an aggressive character that further accentuates the upright and comfortable riding stance. The Xtreme 200S, on the other hand, is a faired version of the naked, featuring a smooth aerodynamically contoured fairing that is accompanied by a twin LED headlamp and a blacked-out windscreen.
Both motorcycles are powered by the same 200cc air-cooled single-cylinder mill with a carburetted fuelling system that registers 18.1bhp and 17.1Nm. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Both motorcycles are suspended by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is done by disc brakes at both ends and is equipped with single-channel ABS.
