- Launched at Rs 88,000 (ex-showroom Guwahati)
- Price revealed through official website
- Cheaper than TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS200
Hero MotoCorp’s has finally come through with the launch price of its most awaited bike, the Xtreme 200R. The company has priced this 200cc streetfighter at Rs 88,000 (ex-showroom Guwahati).
This detail was put up on the company’s official site. Currently, the Gurgaon-based manufacturer has revealed pricing only for the North-Eastern states and West Bengal. The pricing of the Xtreme 200R for the rest of Indian should be revealed in the next few days.
Hero MotoCorp has taken an aggressive approach towards the styling of the Xtreme 200R. The sculpted tank, shrouds and edgy tail section give it a sporty appeal. But the instrument cluster doesn't really look premium as it has analogue bits too.
The 200cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine on the Xtreme 200R churns out 18.3bhp and 17.1Nm of peak torque. The bike is built around a new diamond frame and is the first independently developed Hero motorcycle to feature a rear monoshock. The monoshock has an eight-step preload adjustment. The bike is equipped with disc brake at both ends and is available only in ABS variant.
The Xtreme 200R competes with the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200. But with such competitive pricing, it might eat into the sales of the 160cc bike makers.
