Hero MotoCorp has updated its product portfolio with the launch of the BS6-compliant Xtreme 200S in the Indian market. The latest iteration of the fully-faired model from the Indian two-wheeler brand has been priced at Rs 1,15,715 which is about Rs 13,000 more expensive than the BS4 version. Bajaj Pulsar 180F (Rs 1,13,018)
The Bajaj Pulsar 180F draws styling cues from its 220cc sibling, the Pulsar 220F. Thus, the 180cc motorcycle is equipped with features such as a semi-digital instrument console, muscular fuel tank, an LED tail lamp, and a split-seat design. The 178cc, single-cylinder engine on the motorcycle produces 17bhp and 14Nm.
Hero MotoCorp’s go-anywhere motorcycle, the XPulse 200 is about Rs 2,000 more affordable than the Xtreme 200S. The feature list, similar to the Xtreme 200S, includes a full-LED headlight and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation. The off-road spec hardware on the XPulse 200 includes a 21-inch front wheel, a long-travel suspension setup, and a tall-set exhaust. The BS6-compliant 199.6cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor on the XPulse 200 produces 17.8bhp and 16.45Nm.
Suzuki’s 155cc roadster motorcycle, the Gixxer is available at a marginally lower price tag than the Xtreme 200S. The Gixxer packs features such as an LED headlight and a digital instrument cluster, although it misses Bluetooth connectivity. The Suzuki Access 125 and the Burgman Street have received the Bluetooth connectivity module, and the feature should arrive on the Gixxer series too, although the company is yet to make an official announcement. Mechanical specifications on the Gixxer include a 155cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that produces 13.4bhp and 13.8Nm.
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V (Rs 1,23,500)
The most affordable variant of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V series is available at Rs 1,23,500. This budget-friendly version comes with the safety net of a single-channel ABS. The roadster motorcycle from the Hosur-based brand features an LED headlight, Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster, and Glide Through Traffic technology. Mechanical specifications include a 197.75cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that benefits from TVS’s Race Tuned-Fuel Injection ‘RT-Fi’ technology. Linked to a five-speed transmission, the motor produces a healthy 20.8bhp and 16.8Nm.
Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 (Rs 1,22,630)
Bajaj Auto’s flagship cruiser motorcycle, the Avenger Cruise 220 is available at a premium price tag than the Xtreme 200S. The typical cruiser motorcycle design is emphasised with a low-slung saddle, rear-swept handlebar, a windscreen and a long wheelbase. The Avenger Cruise 220 is powered by a 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor that produces 18.7bhp and 17.5Nm.
