The Xtreme motorcycle range from Hero MotoCorp was never an industry benchmark in terms of styling, performance and comfort. Even though there are better motorcycles in the market, Hero is sticking by its Xtreme brand and will continue to keep it in the portfolio.In fact, Hero has gone a step further and has unveiled the Xtreme 200S which will be launched in India in the next few months. Hero has stuck to the old Xtreme DNA when it comes to overall design and styling. However, in order to make it look different, sharp creases and lines have been used on the bike.
The headlamp assembly design is aggressive, which also gets integrated Daytime running lamps (DRL). The blacked out windscreen complements the design.
The fuel tank has been slightly redesigned to accommodate the muscular styling. The extensions on the fuel tank do add to this visual appeal.
It gets a 200cc single-cylinder engine that produces 18.4bhp and 8500rpm and 17.2Nm at 6000rpm. These figures are quite disappointing for a 200cc motorcycle.
The Hero Xtreme 200S is the first motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp to be offered with optional ABS. In terms of technology, the Xtreme 200S comes with a rear monoshock, ABS and i3S system.
The Xtreme 200S will compete with the Bajaj Pulsar AS200 and the TVS Apache RTR 4V. However, the exact launch date of this motorcycle hasn’t been revealed by the company
