Hero MotoCorp will soon update its product portfolio with the launch of the Xtreme 200S BS6 in the Indian market. While the company is yet to make a launch announcement, dealer sources have revealed the price of the upcoming motorcycle. The BS6-compliant Xtreme 200S will be available at Rs 1,15,714. In comparison, the BS4 version of the motorcycle was sold at Rs 1.02 lakh.
The updated model will retain the styling cues from the BS4 version, and thus feature an LED headlight, full-fairing design, digital instrument cluster, upright ergonomics, and a step-up saddle. The hardware, too, will be similar to the old motorcycle, and the BS6-compliant Xtreme 200S will continue to use telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock to perform the suspension tasks. Anchoring setup will comprise of disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net will include single-channel ABS.
The mechanical specifications are still under wraps, although the latest iteration of the motorcycle will most likely share its engine with the XPulse 200. The 199.6cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor on the XPulse 200 BS6 produces 17.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 16.45Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm.
We expect the Indian two-wheeler brand to make a launch announcement soon.
