- New Xtreme 250R can be booked from February
- Launched at Rs 1.80 lakh introductory price
- Deliveries from March
Hero MotoCorp announced on its social media platforms that the official bookings for the recently launched Xtreme 250R will commence in February.
The Xtreme 250R was launched at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025 at Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). This is Hero’s entry into the world of quarter-litre street bikes, which currently has a lot of competition from Indian and Japanese brands. The company truly believes it can make a big difference in the segment with the Xtreme 250R, which was first unveiled as a concept Xtunt 2.5R a little over a year ago.
Over the last few years, Hero MotoCorp has been making some good-looking motorcycles. It started with the Xtreme 160R, and then the Xtreme 125R was launched. Now with the Xtreme 250R, the company has continued its momentum. This Xtreme gets a low-slung headlamp, a sculpted fuel tank with sharp extensions, and an upswept tail section that lends it a clean and athletic stance.
The Xtreme 250R gets its power from a 250cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve motor that is paired with a six-speed gearbox. It makes 30bhp and 25Nm and goes from zero to 60kmph in 3.25 seconds which is impressive. The same motor will be used for the Hero Karizma 250 as well. The bike comes with 43mm upside-down forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.
Hero MotoCorp is likely to sell the Xtreme 250R in two colours. The bookings will take place online as well as through its dealers, with deliveries being promised from March.
