- Xtreme 250R spotted in Delhi
- TVC was being shot
- India launch very soon
It looks like Hero MotoCorp’s first launch of 2025 is the new Xtreme 250R. A few Xtreme 250Rs were spotted on the streets of Delhi during a TVC shoot.
The Xtreme 250R is based on a new 250cc platform that Hero MotoCorp has developed. The second motorcycle to be built around this platform is the Karizma XMR 250 which is expected to be launched in a few months. The Xtreme 250R gets a proper street-fighter look. The angular LED headlight has an LED DRL, while the fuel tank is beefy. The tank extensions are also neatly integrated and follow the angular design theme. The side and tail sections appear to be a single unit and we like the sharply raked tail section. The bike seen in the images has a dual-tone red and white colourway that also looks quite nice. On the whole, the Hero Xtreme 250R looks good and proportionate.
Under the bodywork, there is a steel trellis frame that is suspended by a 43mm USD fork and a preload adjustable monoshock. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with wide tyres. Braking duties are taken care of by a disc brake at the front and at rear. The bike comes with switchable ABS modes.
Powering the bike is a new 250cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine that makes 30bhp at 9,250rpm and 25Nm at 7,250rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Hero claims the engine propels the bike from 0-60kmph in 3.25 seconds. In terms of features, the bike gets LED lights, a digital instrument cluster and a lap timer.
The Hero Xtreme 250R is expected to be priced between Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.2 lakh, ex-showroom. In terms of competition, it goes up against the KTM 250 Duke and the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250.
