We brought you an exclusive story on Hero’s 250cc Karizma ZMR on the 16th and now Autocar has published another set of pictures of the motorcycle parked at an undisclosed location. However, a closer inspection of the spy shots reveals that the line-up also includes a new lower capacity motorcycle (possibly a 150cc).
A total of four test mules have been spied testing on the roads of Haryana. The images clearly show that the upcoming motorcycle will be fully-faired and will feature many components from the current ZMR. The motorcycle has a raised clip on handle bars like the previous ZMR but offers a low sporty stance. The rear gas-charged shock absorbers looks similar to the one in the current ZMR and has telescopic forks in the front. The motorcycle has a rectangular steel swingarm along with a rear tyre hugger, split seats and a very sharp tail.
The second motorcycle (from the right) features rear drum brake and the overall body proportion is smaller from the other test mules. Also, the exhaust is completely chromed whereas the other ones have a black coloured exhaust with chrome heat shield. The company might be planning to launch a 150cc version along with the 250cc version – a strategy that Honda India has applied with their CBR150R and the CBR250R motorcycles.
