Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India announced their sales report for December 2014 amd it shows an 18 per cent incline in sales. The company sold 3,48,737 units last month as compared to 2,96,243 units sold in the same month in 2013.
The motorcycles sales increased with 1,21,489 units delivered to customers in December 2014, while the company had sold 1,15,537 motorcycles in December 2013. Sales of scooters also increased to 2,08,490 units in December 2014 from 1,67,147 units sold in the corresponding period in 2013. There was a growth in exports as well with 18,758 units sold overseas last month as against 13,559 units in the same month in 2013.
Honda has always had ambitious plans for the Indian two-wheeler market and their success rate shows consistently with their growth in sales figures. The company has not only managed to achieve good sales figures but have also worked on extending their services in our country. By the end of FY’2014-15, the manufacturer aims to have a total of 3,800 outlets across India and is working towards it by inaugurating new dealerships and service centres. The latest product from Honda is the Honda CB Unicorn 160 which will be made available by mid January.
