A production-ready version of the Honda CB 150SS concept was spotted in Indonesia during an ad shoot. Although the bike retains most of the design elements from the concept, it was obvious that some features would not make it to the production bike.
The main change is to the wheels, which are now 10-spoke alloys unlike the carbon disc wheels seen on the concept. Also, the rear-view camera has been replaced with conventional mirrors. Honda has also replaced the gullwing type swingarm from the concept with a rectangular conventional unit.
What has been retained are the upside-down forks, trellis frame and the headlight design. It even gets a colour scheme similar to the concept. The bike uses a 150cc single-cylinder water cooled engine, most likely borrowed from the CBR150R. The bike gets petal type discs on both ends along with a radial-mount calliper for the front.
The CB 150SS is most likely to be called the CB150F when it reaches showrooms. Its design bears an uncanny resemblance to the rendered design of the upcoming CB1000R. For now, the bike is aimed at South East Asian markets where it can compete against bikes like the Yamaha M-Slaz 150 - the naked version of the YZF R15.
