- 54,000 vehicles sold in India while 820 two-wheelers exported

Honda 2Wheelers India closed the month of May 2020 with total sales of 54,820 units. The company sold 54,000 vehicles in the domestic market while 820 two-wheelers were exported. Apart from announcing the sales data, the Indian arm of the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer also stated that over 10.5 lakh two-wheelers were serviced at Honda workshops across the country.
Speaking about the sales performance, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said that a sizable 70% of Honda dealerships have resumed their operations. The company also conducted a survey which stated that close to 80% of the intenders are looking forward to purchasing their Honda 2Wheeler within three months of the lockdown opening.
To make the buying experience easier, Honda is also offering several retail finances offers. Buyers can avail up to 100% loan to value, low down-payment and savings going up to Rs 12,000.
Honda also recommenced production at its Narsapura plant (Karnataka) from 25th May, with other three plants at Manesar (Haryana), Tapukara (Rajasthan) and Vithalapur (Gujarat) following from the 1st week of June. Moreover, 100% of Honda’s 308 supplier plants got approvals to restart operations.
