- Overall sales for December grew by three per cent
- Q3 witnessed five per cent year-on-year growth

Honda 2Wheelers India has announced its sales data for December 2020, and the company closed the calendar year on a positive note. The company’s domestic sales grew five per cent to 2,42,046 units in December 2020 as against 2,30,197 units during the corresponding month last year. With exports of 20,981 units, the total sales in December 2020 stood at 2,63,027 units as against 2,55,283 units in December 2019, thus registering a three per cent growth.
The sales for the October – December quarter witnessed positive growth too. The company’s Q3 domestic sales jumped five per cent on a Y-o-Y basis, from 10,91,299 units to 11,49,101 units.
Speaking on the occasion, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said that the brand is geared up for 2021 – Honda’s 20th Anniversary year in India. He further added that the company has multiple brand new offerings in the pipeline.
During 2020, Honda 2Wheelers India added 12 products in the Indian market. While most products were BS6 iterations of the existing motorcycles and scooters, the company expanded its portfolio with the launch of the Hornet 2.0. Honda also introduced the 20th Anniversary edition of Activa 6G and the Repsol Honda limited editions of Hornet 2.0 and Dio.
In the premium segment, Honda introduced its new mid-size motorcycle, the H’ness CB350. The company also updated its big bike portfolio in the country with the launch of the 2020 Africa Twin Adventure Sports and the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade series.
