- Production will resume in Narsapura, Karnataka on 25 May

Honda 2Wheelers India is gearing up to resume its production operations in a phased manner. The company confirmed in a press statement that it will resume production in two phases. In the first phase, production will resume on 25 May 2020 at the company’s biggest plant in Narsapura, Karnataka. The other three plants will restart operations from the first week of June 2020.
The company also added in its press statement that all of Honda’s 300+ supplier plants have received the necessary approvals to resume their operations. Apart from manufacturing, Honda 2Wheelers India has confirmed that over 60% of its dealers have resumed their sales and service operations.
The company has issued comprehensive guidelines to ensure the safety of its employees and customers. The Operations Resumption guidelines apply to Honda’s manufacturing plants, suppliers, logistic partners, dealerships and service centres across India.
The guidelines for all Honda plants extensively mandate safety precautions like temperature screening, non-biometric entry and exit, mandatory face masks, regular sanitisation & disinfection of common surfaces & vehicles carrying materials, work from home for pregnant ladies, no movement of individuals from hotspot zones, ample availability of hand wash / sanitiser, usage and disposal of PPE’s etc. The guidelines also list training and awareness modules on COVID-19, transport guidelines, COVID-19 health insurance cover, strict social distancing measures and revised SOP for quality checks
