It’s an important announcement for the all the new Honda Activa 125 BS6 owners out there! The company has issued a recall for the scooter to replace its cooling fan cover and oil gauge. A customer can get these parts checked at the nearest Honda dealership where they will be replaced at no cost. One can also confirm if their scooter needs the replacement by entering the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on Honda’s official website.
We contacted Honda to know the exact reason for this move but couldn’t get a definite answer. While such recalls are usually announced in the case of faulty components in the two-wheeler, the company is pitching it as a proactive service campaign only to enhance the quality of the product.
The Activa 125 BS6 was launched in September 2019 and it was Honda’s first product to receive the BS6 update. The company has been recording decent sales numbers for the scooter. To give you a reference, within two months of its launch, the Activa 125 BS6 had found 25,000 customers in India.
The new Activa 125 is powered by a BS6-compliant 125cc engine with electronic fuel injection.
