The Honda Activa 125 FI was launched in India a couple of weeks ago and now the manufacturer has commenced deliveries of the scooter across the country.
It is available in three variants- Standard (drum brake with steel wheels), Alloy (drum brake with alloy wheels) and Deluxe (alloy wheels with front disc brake) that are priced at Rs 67,490, Rs 70,990 and Rs 74,990 respectively. The Honda Activa 125 FI is the manufacturer’s first BS-VI compliant offering in the country. It sports a 124cc, fuel-injected motor that produces 8.1bhp. This motor is claimed to be more fuel-efficient and also gets a revised inlet port and combustion chamber for cleaner emissions.
Honda has loaded the Activa with an array of features like an updated instrument cluster which reads out more information, an ACG starter for smoother ignitions, side-stand alert with engine inhibitor, external fuel filler cap and an idle-start stop system as well. Apart from this, the Activa 125 FI also sports a redesigned bodywork. The scooter’s full-LED headlamp and tail lamp have now been restyled and it also gets chrome highlights on the side panels.
In terms of competition, the Honda Activa 125 FI goes head-on against the Hero Maestro Edge 125 which also gets a fuel-injected engine.
