For 2018, the Activa 125 has been updated with LED headlamps. The instrument cluster design has also been revised, with the analogue speedometer paired with a new digital display. The display shows odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, clock and a service reminder. The Activa 125 also gets the new four-in-one ignition key, which has the facility to remotely unlock the seat. It also gets a new rear monoshock, which can be adjusted for preload. Customers can also add a phone charging socket in the underseat bay for an additional amount.
At the heart of the new Activa 125 is the same 124cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine delivering 8.5bhp and 10.5Nm of torque. It rides on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels shod with tubeless tyres. The top-of-the-line variant comes with a front disc brake, although the other two variants have to make do with a drum brake. CBS is offered as standard throughout the range.
The base Activa 125 rides on steel wheels, and is priced at Rs 59,621, the alloy wheel variant retails at Rs 61,558 and the top-of-the-line variant will set you back by Rs 64,007. It is available in six paint schemes - red, blue, white, black, matte brown and matte silver. Pegged as a family scooter, it competes against the Suzuki Access 125.
