- New Honda Activa 125 Premium variant launched
- Gets two new dual-tone colour options
- Remains mechanically unchanged
Honda has launched a new Premium edition of its 125cc family scooter, the Activa 125, in India. The scooter is different from the existing variants only on the cosmetic front. Priced at Rs 78,725 (drum brake) and Rs 82,280 (disc brake), the Premium edition is around Rs 2,000 more expensive than its corresponding standard trims.
Honda has introduced two new dual-tone colour options for the Activa 125 Premium edition including Pearl Amazing White with Matte Magnificent Copper Metallic and Matte Steel Black Metallic with Matte Earl Silver Metallic. Besides the different body paint, other small changes include a black-out engine, black telescopic forks, body-coloured grab rail, and a new set of decals on the side panels.
The Activa 125 Premium is the same as other variants on the mechanical front. It is powered by a 124cc, air-cooled engine that comes mated to a CVT gearbox. It churns out 8.18bhp of power and 10.3Nm of peak torque. It had received a host of practical features during the BS6 transition such as a multifunction switch, Idling Stop System, pass switch, external fuel filler cap, and a front glove box. All the information is shown on a semi-digital instrument cluster.
The Honda Activa 125 competes against the likes of the Suzuki Access 125, Hero Destini 125, and the new TVS Jupiter 125 in India.
