Honda dealers in many regions across India have started offering the Activa 6G with cash and other discounts of Rs 3000. This offer came into effect after TVS launched the new Jupiter 110.
According to a few dealers we spoke with, this offer is currently valid for a few weeks or till they can sell a good amount of stock. Two-wheeler dealers across the country had to stock up more vehicles for the festive season. It was the same story for the Honda dealers. Sadly, the Activa 6G billing is always higher for the dealers as compared to other two-wheelers in Honda’s portfolio. So these dealers had to stock up more Activas than they wanted.
These dealers fear that with the introduction of the new TVS Jupiter 110, which isn’t only cheaper than the Activa 6G, but also more equipped and better looking, the overall showroom walk-ins could drop drastically this festive season. So to avoid this, a lot of dealers have started giving good discounts – some are also resorting to giving out offers on accessories and insurance.
We also spoke with a few Suzuki dealers who also confirmed there has been a drop in Access 125 inquiries since the launch of the Jupiter 110. It is clear that the new Jupiter 110 has been able to make a big impact, and this is likely to increase in the next few weeks.
