- Remains unchanged mechanically
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched a new limited edition model of its best-selling product, the Activa 6G. It comes in Deluxe and H-Smart variants that are priced at Rs. 80,734 and Rs. 82,734, respectively (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). The scooter will be on sale for a limited period at all Honda Red Wing dealerships.
The new Activa 6G differs from standard variants only on the visual front. It boasts honeycomb-like graphics and edgy stripes on the front apron and side panels. Moreover, there’s a 3D ‘Activa’ decal on both sides, body-coloured grab rails, and blacked-out alloy wheels. It comes in two colour options including Matte Steel Black Metallic and Pearl Siren Blue both of which are unique to the limited edition model. As for the hardware and engine of this trim, all of it remains the same as the rest of the variants.
Powering the scooter is a 109.51cc, air-cooled engine that makes 7.73bhp and 8.90Nm and comes mated to a CVT transmission system. It rides on a 12-10-inch alloy wheel combination that is suspended by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. The braking setup includes a drum at both ends along with a combined braking system. The feature list of the scooter comprises an external fuel filler cap, an engine start-stop switch, a silent starter, and a dual-function switch that opens the seat and external fuel lid. Moreover, the H-Smart variant benefits from the keyless system that allows access to various functions.
The Honda Activa 6G limited edition comes with a special 10 year warranty package that includes three year standard and seven year extended warranty. It competes against the likes of the TVS Jupiter and Hero Maestro Edge.
